Happy Pajama Pant Friday everyone!! Last night as I was tucking the girls into bed K said, “Mom, I really like Thanksgiving but I kind of like Pajama Pant Friday more.” And what’s not to like about this family tradition that we have turned into a holiday? In fact, I encourage as many of you as possible to join in and spread the word about this fantastic holiday. Here’s the scoop:
1. Wear pajama pants all day.
2. Dig out all your favorite family games, especially the ones from the back of the closet that you haven’t played in a while. Play games all day.
3. Eat homemade turkey soup (made with the stock from yesterday’s recipe)
And there you have it! I am okay if you want to deviate from the menu (but you are missing some good food). And I’m even okay if you get up in the middle of the night to go shopping before the holiday officially starts. The important part is to wear those pajama pants and soak up some solid family time.
No time consuming work in the kitchen. No decorations required (though feel free to put up your Christmas tree with your family if you’re home). No presents needed (though I usually give my kids new pj pants for the occasion). Just a day focused on having fun as a family.
Happy Pajama Pant Friday!!!
