My oldest daughter is very bright. Honors classes, good grades etc etc. Sometimes though… sometimes she reminds us that she’s the only blonde in the family. Friday night K was looking at the course map for our Saturday morning 5K. On the map there was some race information including this line: No strollers or joggers allowed. She read the line and here’s the conversation that followed.
K: But how can they tell?
Me: How can they tell what?
K: How can they tell who is jogging and who is running? And what’s the difference between strolling and walking?
[insert two second pause before our laughter burst out]
We decided that the next time you’re racing, if you need a walk break it’s okay. But whatever you do, DON’T STROLL.

Bwahaha! That was the laugh I needed this morning!
Now that’s the kind of course that I might PR on, if there was a threat of being thrown off for jogging!
