We all have good days and bad days. Incredible days that take us new places and days we’d like to forget forever. But sometimes, if we’re really lucky, a day that isn’t so out of the ordinary turns into a perfect day. The kind of day you want to always remember precisely because it was an everyday sort of day that turned out to be golden. Yesterday was one of those days.
We went to the State Fair (something we do every year) and the weather was perfect, the kids all got along, the day was filled with laughter and smiles. No one was tired after six hours – not even my 5yo niece. We literally had to tear ourselves away. The kids just wanted to keep seeing, hearing, playing, experiencing.
I can’t point out any one particular thing that made it good. It was the combination of moments and attitudes, of time and place. It was a very good day.
